Women's Center at FIU's MMC Campus Internship
Generation Action and the Women's Center Collaboration
Collaborated with Generation Action- Planned Parenthood to come up with a plan to incorporate menstrual products in public restrooms all over the FIU campus.
Black Women Speak Event
Assisted in the creation and completion of flyers for the Black Women's Speak event at FIU's MMC campus.
Women's Day Event
In collaboration with another remote intern, I planned the Women's Day event as described on the flyer. This included the responsibility of making decisions regarding the venue, panelists, and topics to be discussed.
Email Drafting
Frequently engaged in email based contact with FIU professionals regarding their support for many campaigns such as the campaign for alleviating period poverty.
Service Name
Weekly meetings with supervisor and interim director of the Women's Center at FIU's MMC Campus Erica Friedman. We met to discuss the goals for the final project of the internship.
